It’s time to take the necessary actions to make sure that there are housing opportunities for everyone who calls Tacoma home. Strategic planning is essential to increase housing supply, choice of housing types, and housing affordability.
Putting the Home in Tacoma plan into action has the power to positively affect current and future residents.
Updating the City of Tacoma’s comprehensive plan will address:
- Population growth, which heightens the urgency for increased new housing development
- Changing housing needs of residents, from multi-generational families to working families to seniors
- The goal of creating walkable neighborhoods, with a range of housing options and amenities for residents to enjoy
